Jamie is a passionate traveller, adventurer and children’s author. A Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society, Jamie has been exploring the world and pushing himself to the limit for the past Fifteen years.

He has travelled extensively completing expeditions and races in the Arctic, the Desert, around and over mountains and in the Jungle. A former Royal Marine, Jamie works for an international environmental disaster response organisation, travelling around the world in response to major oil spills and other environmental disasters.

Joint Leader of Polar Toes Expeditions with Benno Rawlinson, the team are currently planning their most audacious Polar expedition yet.

An attempt to ski the Northwest passage in winter which due to injury turned into a Four Month expedition skiing 1100kms up the coast of Baffin Island in the Northern Canadian Arctic. Unsupported and unaided the expedition crossed land and sea ice whilst managing threats from polar bears and -45ºc temperatures


   

 

 

Created, led and completed the One Day Ahead project, www.onedayahead.co.uk, cycling the entire route of the Tour de France covering 3100kms one day ahead of the peloton. The event has now grown and aims to raise over £1 million for Leukaemia Research

The Source2Sea expedition was a solo trip travelling the entire length of the Amazon by foot, kayak, raft and riverboat over 12 weeks

Ultra Running

Completed the 2008 MDS and the 2009 UTMB, the Nice Ironman and many other endurance events including over 40 marathons

Royal Marines Commando

Completed the Royal Marines Commando Course in 2008 earning the coveted green beret.

Member of the 2010 Khumbu Challenge expedition to Nepal climbing Island Peak and to Everest base Camp for wounded Royal Marines

Ski Touring, Ski Kiting and Mountaineering Expeditions

Completed multiple, multi-day kite skiing, ski-hauling and ski-mountaineering trips in Norway, Northern Canada, The Alps, The US and Patagonia


 

Beijing to London Overland

Travelling overland from Beijing to London by Foot, bike, bus,van and train over 7 weeks

 

West African Coast 

4 week expedition Travelling by foot and jeep up the coastline of Ghana to engage with and train fishing communties in responding to a major oil spill

 
 

London2Milan

Cycling from London to Milan via the Alps.
